Donovan's Last Stand

The end of an era arrives on Sunday at The Linc, as Donovan McNabb plays his final game as an Eagle. The 2nd pick in the 1999 draft, McNabb entered the league and Philadelphia with a ton of pressure. You may not have heard about this, but McNabb was booed at the draft. That's right. He never mentions it though, unless there is a camera or mic in his face.

As much as I cant stand the guy, I cant say his Eagles career has been a total failure. He has had the most success out of any QB in that draft. So what if it was team success, led by the greatest coach in Eagles history, Andy Reid.

His stats are pedestrian. 58% career passing, 170 TDs and 78 ints, with a playoff record of 7-5. He also holds the record for puking in the huddle of a Super Bowl. Good luck to Donnie Mac on his new team. The Eagles will be just fine without him. Andy knows QBs. He has turned some horrendous QBs into serviceable ones (Feeley), average ones into good ones (McNabb), and has-beens into field generals (Garcia). The Kolb era will be a winning one. Even next year, I think.
